April 15, 1942

Just finished our first day at lectures. Athol Gordon is the lecturer, but read the stuff so fast, you can’t keep up. I would say the whole course is a colossal bluff, but so is the whole Canadian Army Medical set up. Have met Capt. Bastedo (knew him in Camp Borden) – he is now with the 4th Field Ambulance and Capt. Liard of the Royal Regiment of Canada – good chaps but they feel the same towards the Medical set up as I.
