April 19, 1942

Started on a nine day scheme today. Rutledge, Rogers, Watt and myself on carrier. Left Seaford at 12:20 went through New Haven, Patcham (a northern suburb of Brighton), up to New Park Wood, a very beautiful place-Primrose. Sunday. Everybody out picking primroses in woods. A young chap from Brigade HQ shot thru the neck as we arrived. Bill Hunt and I bunked down outside outside RAP. Had glorious sleep.
