Left Perth at 9:35 a.m. and arrived at Blair Atholl at 11 a.m. Met at train by Mr. McAra and we started back in the hills. Visited Atholl Castle and were shown through the Armouries and Hunters Hall. Perfectly wonderful scenery here. We visited all over the estate and climbed the hill to his little thatched cottage with the old fashioned fireplace and built-in beds. the cottage is much like Burns Cottage. Had lunch there, slept for an hour then had tea and walked back to station and caught a train for Glasgow. His sister is a very sweet old soul. My companion coming down was a Dr. Colin Campbell from Edinburgh, now attached to an A.A. Battery (78) in England. Am now going to bed. John (Begg) phoned tonight.
