Promulgation of Court Martial on Tpr McPherson and Tpr Hodge for violation of Security Act. Both men escaped from a T.L.C. in Newhaven Harbour and talked their heads off. This happened in early July. McPherson was sentenced to two years detention without hard labour. Hodge was sentenced to two years detention with hard labour. Quite a price to pay for not using your head – but a wonderful lesson for the rest of the Batn.
