Dec. 17, 1942

John Begg, Dave Clapperton, Stoney Richardson, Poopdeck Payne and I went over to Seaford to a Wrens dance. We picked up Timmy Cameron and went to Harrison’s to a cocktail party first. After the dance the miserable devils didn’t wait for me, but drove back to Worthing, leaving me at Seaford. I went up to XIth Btn – slept there, had coffee the following morning in the milk shop, breakfast in the Scottish Tea Rooms and lunch at the Pelham Club, then caught the train and returned to Worthing – getting quite a ragging today.
