Dec. 19, 1942 – Christmas dinner

Ralph worked hard yesterday and today preparing a perfectly lovely Xmas dinner which we held in our R.A.P. (Regimental Aid Post) tonight. We had turkey, all the vegetables, plum pudding, Jellies, wine and whiskey, cigars and cigarettes, fruit cake, nuts of all kinds. Dick Furman took indoor views with my camera. Those present – Bill McLeod, Dick Furman, Carl Morrison, Wicks, Ralph, myself, Bert, Jim, Ruddick – I have now left the party and returned home. The boys will finish up in the dance, I believe. Grand evening.
