July 6, 1942

July 6: Raining hard when we awoke. The rain turned to very heavy hail, than following this the sun came out again. The waters here look very blue – a faint outline of Africa is visible on our right. We are expecting Herman’s boys to come and visit us today, but we not impatient for them to arrive.
