8 days to Remembrance Day

The 2005 parade in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands marking the 60th anniversary of the Liberation of Holland. Hundreds of thousands of people lined the parade to once again thank Canadian veterans for their role in freeing Holland from Nazi occupation. The parade was one of the most remarkable events I have seen. The respect and gratitude shown our veterans was unbelievable. I’m grateful I was there to witness that.
