All pretty well in readiness for embarking. Practically everything loaded – nominal rolls, loading tables nearing completion and now I am ready for my fourth invasion. First Dieppe, then Sicily, then Italy and now – where? I don’t know. News has just reached us of the fall of Rome and today the Channel seems filled with boats, so it looks as if the zero hour is nearly here. We will all be so glad when it arrives and we get really going towards the finish of this thing.
